welp, Barry Bonds is a big black baseball player, Bill belichick is a medium size white football coach.
Bill is older than Barry.
Barry hits more homeruns than bill…
Bill knows more about football than barry.
Barry knows more about baseball than Bill.
Bill coaches new england, Barry doesnt..
Barry plays for the Giants, Bill doesnt.
and the list goes on and on….

Bill Belichick cheated and then said he didn’t understand the rule against cheating . ( yeah right )
Barry Bonds cheated and then lied about it .
I see the “idiot” for USC is here !

Barry Bonds didn’t get caught. Belickick did get caught. The difference is that the press already hated Barry Bonds. Barry doesn’t work with the press at all. As a matter of fact, he started his own website long ago to answer all the fans directly. That way he wouldn’t ever have to deal with the press. The press do not like this. As soon as the steroid scandal broke, the press jumped all over Barry. It was kinda weird. Because guys like Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, and Jason Giambi would have been a lot easier to pin things on. Sense, ya know, they admitted it.
Bill Belichick on the other hand has always been a well respected man. Everyone loves Belichick. Almost the day the story broke, 1/3 of the articles I read were, “Forgive him” pieces.
Two simple lessons; It’s not what you do to get in trouble, it’s how you act up to that point. And, for the most part, people agree with the press.

Belichick illegally taped defensive signals to gain an advantage for his offense. And probably vice versa for his defense. The fact of the matter is his team still had to execute. His team still had little or no advantage in the execution department, everyone still had to do their job. Bonds cheating was an advantage in the execution department. The steroids gave Barry an advantage of strength and speed. Without the steroids, a majority of those home runs hit by Bonds wouldve just been deep fly balls. Bonds cheating gave one man an immediate advantage in execution. Belichick cheating gave 11 men an advantage in the preparation department.

Ok… Barry Bonds illegally enhanced his body with drugs… even though he didn’t have too, he was a great player before he juiced up. Bill Belicheck taped another team’s sideline & scoreboard… and if you’ve seen the tape there was no competitive advantage gained, which means… Belicheck didn’t cheat. Bonds actually put that crap in his body to gain a competitive edge… Belicheck taped the opposing sideline for future reference against a division rival. What he had was no different then the films they recieve for gameplanning from the NFL anyway. His interpretation of the rule was that it was ok as long as there was no competitive edge gained in the game and it was for future reference. You can’t say that someone was cheating when they weren’t using it in said game. Barry Bonds cheater… though he didn’t have to be… Belicheck… not a cheater… fans just need an excuse.

Barry Bonds knows how to dress and realizes a cut off sleeved sweatshirt isn’t necessary to be comfortable. They are both jerks and poor sports though.

greggymcgurks,
I bet you’re right. I bet you were on the NFL Commissioner’s investigative team that reviewed the tape and found there was absolutley no competitive advantage. Otherwise you wouldn’t be acting as if you saw the tape.
Note: Sarcasm is funny when used against morons like greggymcgurks.
If there was no cheating then why did the NFL Commissioner see fit to fine the man $500,000 and consider suspending him?

Oh, I don’t know - maybe because Bonds broke a FEDERAL law, not just a league one.
