really useful, but couldn’t you say that NaCl has a covalent bond, coz Na shares its one electron with Cl, and Cl shares one of its electrons from its 2nd shell (we don’t say valence layer in England), thus creating a covalently bonded molecule of salt.
then again, ionic and covalent bonds both achieve the same thing, so i guess both apply to any molecule.

At 6:48, the way you configure oxygen’s valence layer is incorrect. Electrons only “double up” when it is required because doing so requires more energy. The correct configuration is two pairs and two single electrons.
